How it works
Each GPA counts by its credits. The new cumulative GPA is your old GPA times old credits, plus this semester's GPA times its credits, divided by all the credits together.
Common questions
How is cumulative GPA different from semester GPA?
Semester GPA is just this term. Cumulative GPA is every term together, weighted by the credits in each.
Why do credits matter?
A semester with more credits moves your cumulative GPA more than a lighter one, so credits are part of the math.
